VST News #5: Heavy Charity Artillery – Ballistic Drum Sampler
Some plugins aren’t free, but they’re still bloody awesome. Ballistic, a new drum sampler developed and released by de la Mancha, gives you all the handy tools you may need in a software drum sampler, packed with a bonus of 600+ amazing drum samples ranging from analogue sounding hip-hop drums to 8bit and glitch. All of that for a tiny price of 10$, all of which will go straight into the hands of people fighting against cancer at Cancer Research UK.
The plugin itself is very handy, works like a charm, you can reverse the samples, pan them, normalize, choke, even bitcrush them. There are multiple stereo outputs, one for each sample, so that you can route the sounds to different channels and process them separately. Nifty!
Oh, and the samples? They alone are worth the price tag. You will even find my little C64 drum kit there :]
